Functional bandaging and Kinesiotaping

This technique consists of applying a bandage that selectively immobilizes the mechanism of production of an injury in order to maintain or stabilize positions without pain and give rest to the injured structures, thus avoiding muscle atrophy, joint stiffness and ligamentous elongation. Functional bandages allow injuries to heal in a shorter period of time and with better functional results, avoiding to a great extent the sequelae that usually produce other prolonged immobilizations such as casts.
